Vanilla Bean Buttermilk Pancakes

Vanilla Bean Buttermilk Pancakes
 
Makes 16 pancakes
Ingredients
  • 1½ cups unbleached all- purpose flour, preferably King Arthur
  • 3 tablespoons sugar
  • 2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon sea salt
  • 2 extra-large eggs
  • 1¼ cups Buttermilk
  • 3 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted
  • 2 teaspoons Sonoma Syrup Vanilla Bean Extract or ‘Crush
Instructions
  1. Whisk together the flour, sugar, baking powder and salt in a medium bowl.
  2. Add the wet ingredients and whisk only until just combined.
  3. Place a large skillet over medium heat and melt additional butter until hot.
  4. Ladle the batter using a ¼ cup measure into the pan and cook for 2-3 minutes until bubbling on top. Flip and cook until golden brown.
  5. Add more butter to pan and repeat with batter.
  6. Keep pancakes warm in a pre-heated 200 degree oven.
  7. Serve with your favorite breakfast syrup, sausage and fruit!
Notes
The following recipes were created with Vanilla Bean Extract 'Crush' to eliminate the time consuming process of finding and scraping vanilla beans, however you may use the Vanilla Bean Extract in all of these recipes.
