Frozen Mango Meyer Lemon Margarita
Frozen Mango Meyer Lemon Margarita
We love using a quality blanco or reposado tequila to complement the bright Meyer lemon notes. Serve it with a salted or Tajín rim for a little extra zest, and don’t forget the easy mocktail option so everyone can join the celebration. However you pour it, this margarita is pure golden-hour energy in a glass. ¡Salud!
Ingredients
- Frozen Mango: 2 cups (frozen solid)
-
Tequila: 4 oz (1/2 cup) silver or reposado tequila
-
Meyer Lemon Infused Simple Syrup: 1 to 2 oz, to taste
-
Triple Sec: 1 oz (like Cointreau orange liqueur)
- Ice: 1 cup (use more for a thicker, less alcoholic blend)
- Optional: 1/2 oz fresh lime juice (if extra acidity is desired)
-
Rim: coarse salt or Tajín, and a Meyer lemon wheel
Directions
- Prepare the Glasses: Rub a Meyer lemon wedge around the rim of your glasses and dip them in coarse salt or Tajín.
Blend: In a high-powered blender, combine the frozen mango chunks, tequila, simple syrup, triple sec, and ice.
- Process: Blend on high until completely smooth, thick, and creamy.
- Adjust: If the mixture is too thick, add a splash of water or more tequila. If too tart, add more simple syrup.
- Serve: Pour immediately into prepared glasses and garnish with a lemon wheel.
Tips
No triple sec? Replace with an equal amount of fresh orange juice for a less boozy option.
For a Mocktail: Skip the tequila and triple sec. Use 1/2 cup mango purée, 1 oz Meyer Lemon Simple Syrup, and 1 cup sparkling water.
