Cheers to St. Patrick's Day and the start of Spring with this minty green cocktail! Matcha is a type of green tea powder that when added with a water or milk, makes for a delicious beverage. It also makes for an all-natural food coloring that tastes as wonderful as it looks. Enjoy this refreshing twist on the classic Mint Julep.
Matcha Mint Julep
2 tsp. matcha powder
1 oz. Mint Infused Simple Syrup
2 oz. bourbon
Juice of half a lemon
1/2 cup of water
In a cocktail shaker, add matcha powder and 1 tsp. of water, and stir slowly to make a paste.
Add simple syrup, bourbon, lemon juice, water, and ice.
Shake cocktail until chilled and strain into a glass with ice.
Top with a lemon twist or mint sprig.
