A delicious tropical drink from the Tiki Culture, invented in 1944 by Victor Bergeron at Trader Vic’s in California. Our Vanilla Almond (Orgeat) Simple Syrup infuses natural almond, creamy vanilla, and a hint of orange blossom flower water in pure cane simple syrup which blends easily into drinks and recipes. A true “Natural Orgeat”, this syrup brings versatility to festive tropical cocktails.
½ oz. Sonoma Syrup Co. Vanilla Almond (Orgeat) Simple Syrup
2 oz. dark rum
½ oz. orange curaçao
½ oz. fresh lemon juice or lime
A dash of Angostura® bitters
½ oz. fresh pineapple juice
Combine all ingredients except rum in a cocktail shaker with ice.
Shake and strain into a double old-fashioned or specialty Mai Tai glass and top with rum to create a "float".
Garnish with a lime and mint.
